School Tours

Register now to visit our schools and share the learning stories of some remarkable children working with dedicated educators in BC. These professional visits are intended to focus primarily on classroom experience and observation and to include discussion with practicing teachers and pupils.

Classroom observation is the key objective for the study visits as it provides a planned opportunity to build perspectives. During school visits, the participants will have the opportunity to spend quality time in classrooms, observing teaching and learning strategies and to interact with educators. Informal, professional discussions will provide visitors with an opportunity to extend their professional understanding of the work being done to support vulnerable learners in our schools.

The visits will focus on schools that approach improvement with a spirit of inquiry, where educators use formative assessment strategies to improve student achievement, and where the needs of vulnerable children remain as the key priority. These innovative, networked learning communities represent a rich array of deep thinking and exceptional practice.

Please check back in the Fall for school tour locations.
